A Deeply disturbing tale of a conceited author and cold-blooded, inhumane murder.
Thank the Lord, it is Robert Galbraith, and not J.K.Rowling. It would have ruined my image of childhood author. It was not easy reading the grotesque images painted in the book-within-book. Some of them pushed boundaries of obscenity.
Alright. So the summary of the story goes like this…
The investigating private detective, Mr.Cormoran Strike is approached by the sad wife of missing author, Owen Quine. His latest project, Bombyx Mori, is filled with obscene scenes and characters based on his personal life. Still unpublished, the books gains popularity for the crass, lewd content. Naturally, when Owen is found dead, it puts his close ones in the suspect’s stand.
Here’s is my Reading Progress.
Truth is hidden in this innocently twisted web of pointing fingers and it is upto Strike to solve the heinous murder. With a fleeting climax and a shocking revelation about the murder, this episode of Detective Strike promises to be a page-turner.
Not for the weakhearted.
Not for those with detailed imaginations.
And definitely not for those who wanna read it only because their favorite childhood author wrote it.
